Volunteers are vital to carrying out our vision! In 2010, our volunteers gave a total of 6,090 hours with an estimated value of over $101,500.00.

Chad's HIV diagnosis came along with some personal challenges. Rather than allow them to stand in his way, he faced those challenges head on and broke through to a renewed life of family and community support, activism and self-care.



 

Every resident in our facilities works with a case mangers, who are all Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors. Residents also have access to occupational therapy and spiritual care.



 

Each year, we serve more than 35,000 meals to residents because good nutrition is linked to managing the disease of HIV/AIDS.

For over 20 years Alexian Brothers AIDS Ministry has been serving people impacted by HIV/AIDS in the Chicago metropolitan region, providing housing, comprehensive services, and spiritual care. Whether at The Harbor in Waukegan, IL, Bonaventure House on the North Side of Chicago or at our new facility on the South Side of Chicago, we transform the lives of people who are homeless and living with HIV/AIDS within a supportive, compassionate community.
