At Alexian Brothers AIDS Ministry, recovery services are one of the keys to enabling residents to become self-sufficient and transition to independent living.
Over 90 percent of the men and women of Bonaventure House and The Harbor are in recovery. Our philosophy is to create an environment conducive toward the recovery process. Our theme is "The Celebration of Life".
The recovery objective is to maintain a drug and alcohol free lifestyle. Our Recovery Coordinators assist residents to become self-sufficient and transition into interdependent living. Our recovery program provides comprehensive services which include:
- Individualized therapeutic sessions
- Groups which engage residents in risk reduction and relapse prevention
- Therapeutic social activities
- Recovery Committee
- Peer led Alcoholic and Narcotics Anonymous Meetings
- Random drug testing and breathalyzer
